German daily newspaper Bild claims that Schalke still have plans to sign two more quality midfielders ahead of the new season.
Buoyed by the second-place finish in the Bundesliga, the Miners have already wrapped up some deals, making sure they are well prepared for the start of the new campaign.
While Leon Goretzka and Max Meyer left, Schalke have so far agreed deals for Mark Uth, Salif Sane and Suat Serdar, but they have no plans to stop any time soon.
The Miners need two more central midfielders to compensate for the departure of two Germany starlets, but the money is tight at the moment.
While Nicolai Muller, Dries Mertens and Thomas Delaney are the three players on their radar, Schalke have just €10 million to spend at the moment.
The Miners do plan to raise more cash through the sales of Jonathan Geis, Benedikt Howedes, Coke and Donis Avdijaj, but it remains to be seen whether they will be successful.
