Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies insists that the club still have faith in their GM Andreas Mueller, after 2-1 loss against bitter rivals Bochum: “He has a clear idea and a concept. But if success remains elusive and the implementation proves increasingly hard, you will at some point be put on the spot”, Tonnies told Kicker magazine.

Schalke suffered the indignity of being booed off the pitch by their own traveling support: the fans directed their hostility not just at coach Fred Rutten but also at GM Andreas Mueller.
