Schalke have been showing interest in Bayern Munich’s latest acquisition Serge Gnabry, according to Sport Bild.
The Bavarians completed the signing of the former Arsenal youngster some ten days ago as the winger penned a three-year deal at Allianz Arena.
Bayern decided to make their move after Gnabry had impressed on his return to German Bundesliga, bagging 11 goals in 27 outings for Werder Bremen.
However, that does not mean that the 21-year-old will spend next season at Allianz Arena, as he could instead be farmed out on loan.
Hoffenheim and Schalke are believed to be keen on taking Gnabry on loan for the 2017/2018 campaign, and it is now up to Bayern Munich officials and the player’s agents to find the best solution for all the parties concerned.
