Schwarzer heads Fulham summer cull

Fulham have announced the departure of eleven players ahead of the forthcoming season, with Australia goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer heading the list.

The 40 year old, who signed from Middlesbrough five years ago is the only overseas player to have made at least 500 Premier League appearances, and is keen to continue his playing career elsewhere.

Croatia forward Milan Petric is also on his way out of Craven Cottage having made just twenty-four appearances for the club following his move form Hamburg last summer, while Greek international Giorgos Karagounis also departs after just one season with the club.

Simon Davies and Chris Baird are both looking for new clubs after each turning out over 150 times, with Csaba Somogyi, Alex Smith, James Musa, Richard Peniket, Tom Donegan and Corey Gameiro complete the list.

Meanwhile, former Fulham captain has left Blackburn Rovers after reaching an mutual agreement with the club to cancel his contract, Sky Sports understands.
