Schweinsteiger linked with MLS switch

German magazine Kicker has suggested that Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger could soon be moving to Major League Soccer.

The 30-year-old will be out of contract in June 2016 and the latest reports are claiming he might decide to leave the Bavarians in a year’s time.

Schweinsteiger is reportedly not too happy about the fierce competition for places at Alianz Arena, with the likes of Alonso, Lahm, Thiago, Alaba and Martinez all used in the centre of the park.

According to Kicker, the Germany hotshot is considering a move to the MLS, so it remains to be seen whether Bayern can persuade him to stay for a bit longer.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has spent his entire professional career up to date with Bayern Munich, making 338 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 42 goals.

He has also been a very important player for the national team over the past ten years, earning 109 Germany caps.
