Schweinsteiger plays down Chelsea talk

Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger insists he does not expect to leave the Bundesliga giants over the summer.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in making a bid for the 25-year-old, who has spent his entire career at Bayern Munich.

Schweinsteiger is quoted in German daily Bild, saying, “What is written in English papers is not always right.

“Today, many things are possible.  What is very interesting in England is the atmosphere in the stadiums.  But I have a lengthy contract with Bayern and therefore I assume that I will continue to play here.”
