Scott Arfield is only one Canadian international in the Premier League, and the Burnley star is about to become a free agent. With that in mind, two MLS clubs are keen on acquiring his services, and, according to the Sun, the midfielder could have the choice between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Montreal Impact in the summer.
The 29-year old has made 18 Premier League appearances this season, scoring twice and registering an assist, and he has established himself as a crucial player in the heart of the Clarets’ midfield over the past five seasons.
Having played in League One, the Championship and the Premier League with Huddersfield and Burnley, Arfield has a great amount of experience to take to the MLS, should he indeed make the move.
With his contract running out at the end of this season, the midfielder will be available on a free, and would thus make a valuable and cheap addition to either of the MLS squads.
