Hibernian’s dismal season continued on Sunday when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Dundee United at Tannadice Park.
Striker Jon Daly gave the hosts the lead after 13 minutes when he blasted a low shot past Graeme Smith in the Hibs goal, and Craig Conway doubled their advantage three minutes after the break when he collected a pass from David Goodwillie and fired home from the edge of the box.
Johnny Russell completed the rout nine minutes from full-time to lift Dundee United into sixth place in the Scottish Premier League – level on 29 points with their next opponents Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who are fifth.
Hibs, meanwhile, remain second from bottom, just two points clear of Hamilton ahead of their clash with St Mirren on Wednesday.
