Celtic have slipped further behind Rangers in the Scottish Premier League title race after falling 2-0 to Hearts on Sunday.
Neil Lennon’s team had their chances in the first half at Tynecastle, before Rudi Skacel and Ryan Stevenson goals after the break saw the hosts earn a hard-fought win.
Celtic also had Kris Commons sent off 25 minutes from time as they fell 10 points behind league-leaders Rangers, albeit with a game in hand on their arch rivals.
Lithuanian Marius Zaliukas went closest early as he smashed the post from 20 yards, before Hearts goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald denied Mohamed Bangura with a fine save.
Both sides had their chances before Skacel opened the scoring, driving low into the corner after David Templeton had knocked a pass down to him.
Things got worse for Celtic soon after as Commons was given his marching orders for a dangerous tackle on Adrian Mrowiec.
Stevenson sealed the points for the hosts when he collected a Templeton back-heel, rounded Celtic shot-stopper Fraser Forster and blasted in the second, sending Hearts into fourth.
