Hearts missed a golden chance to move into second place in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday after being held to a 0-0 draw at Aberdeen.
The hosts belied their lowly position in the league by creating the bulk of the chances against third-placed Hearts, but visiting goalkeeper Marian Kello was in fine form to deny Aberdeen and help the Edinburgh side claim a point.
The result keeps Hearts in third place, just one point behind Rangers, who have played three fewer games.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Kilmarnock strengthened their hold on a Europa League place with a 2-0 win over St Mirren at Rugby Park.
William Gross opened the scoring after 13 minutes for the home side, before Aleksei Eremenko made it 2-0 just before the half-hour mark to help Kilmarnock open up a five point buffer on fifth-placed Motherwell.
Bottom placed Hamilton claimed a rare point when they held Dundee United to a 1-1 draw at home, but will be ruing not taking all three after United equalised seven minutes from full-time through Andis Shala to cancel out Mickael Antoine-Currier’s opener.
And Hibernian enjoyed a 2-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle thanks to goals from Callum Booth and Lewis Stevenson.
