A host of Europe’s top clubs are keeping close tabs on Dundee United midfielder Stuart Armstrong, The Courier has learned.
The 22-year-old has been putting in some strong performances in Scottish Premier League and he is now being linked with a big club move.
According to The Courier, West Bromwich scouts had the midfielder watched in weekend’s defeat to Aberdeen and the Baggies appear to be readying a January bid for the player’s services.
Their Premier League rivals Hull City, who signed Andy Robertson from Dundee United in the summer, are also believed to be keen, with Celtic and Sporting Lisbon also in the mix.
And with Armstrong’s current deal at Tannadice Park due to expire in a year and a half, the Terrors may be forced to sell in the upcoming transfer window.
Despite his fragile age, the midfielder has already amassed 120 league appearances for Dundee United, while scoring 4 goals in 20 matches for Scotland Under-21 side.
