Competition: MLS

Market: Seattle Sounders win

Odds: 3/5 @ Bet 365

On the verge of securing their spot in the playoffs in the Western Conference, Seattle will welcome the Dynamo’s to CenturyLink Field on Tuesday.

Starting with Brian Schmetzer’s Seattle side, coming off the back of a 4-0 win over Colorado at the end of September, the Sounders will know they are once again on the verge of securing a top six finish in the Western Conference. While their two defeats against LA Galaxy and Philadelphia may have been a small blip, Seattle have two games in hand over the sides around them and will be confident of securing yet another playoff position. Now losing just one of their last seven matches on home soil, one man to watch for Schmetzer’s side will be forward Raúl Ruidíaz. Scoring a brace last time out, he now has four in his last three appearances at CenturyLink Field.

As for the visitors, while Houston are coming off the back of a 3-2 win over San Jose in their last outing, extending their unbeaten run to four matches, it has been another poor year for the Dynamo’s. Now without a win on the road in their last nine matches away from home, a run stemming back to the middle of May, they are unable to secure a playoff position with three games remaining. It will also be their recent defensive issues causing Wílmer Cabrera the most concern. Houston have now recorded just one clean sheet in their last 14 MLS matches and no side in either Conference holds a worse defensive tally.
