Competition: MLS
Market: Seattle Sounders win
Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365
On course to book yet another season in the playoffs, a resurgent Seattle side will look to carry on their impressive form when they travel to an Orlando side who have endured another woeful campaign.
Starting with James O’Connor’s Orlando City side, coming off the back of another very poor showing in their 2-0 loss to New England last week, the Purples have been arguably the MLS’ worst side this year. Already sat four points adrift at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, Orlando haven’t tasted victory in any competition since the middle of July. Along without a clean sheet in in the MLS in the past five months, they also hold a terrible record against Seattle this season. Unable to win any of their three meetings, they have also conceded eight goals in that losing run.
As for the visitors, coming off the back of putting four past the Dynamo’s last week, Seattle are in pole position to once again book a top six finish. Bouncing back from their two defeats at the start of the month, Brian Schmetzer’s side have now won 11 of their last 13 outings. One man to watch for Seattle will be 29-year-old midfielder Victor Rodriguez. Saving his best form for the end of the season, the Spaniard now has three in his last two, including a Man of the Match performance against Houston last week.
