Eintracht Frankfurt defender Sebastian Jung has admitted he is interested in joining Italian giants AS Roma.
The Giallorossi have been following the highly rated full-back for a while now and they were desperate to add him to their ranks last summer.
After failing to reach an agreement with Eintracht, they signed Ivan Piris instead, but everything suggests they will return for Jung next summer.
The player himself is well aware of the interest from the Giallorossi and admits he is keen on joining the Serie A giants.
“I have given my willingness to come to Italy, particularly to Roma,” Jung told reporters in Italy ahead of the Italy U-21 vs Germany U-21 clash.
“The team and city fascinate me a lot. Before, the Giallorossi were the only interested side, now they are other important teams.”
With Jung’s contract due to expire in June 2014, the Bundesliga side will have no choice but to cash in on him at the end of the season.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that there is a clause in the player’s deal allowing him to leave for €2.5 million in the summer transfer window.
Sebastian Jung has been in fine form this season, making 19 Bundesliga appearances and scoring one goal.
