Hamburger SV have announced on their official website that they have completed the signing of Bosnian midfielder Sejad Salihovic.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year deal and he arrives on a free transfer with his contract at St Gallen having expired in June.
Hamburg decided to make a move on the veteran footballer after Filip Kostic, Aaron Hunt and Nicolai Muller all suffered injuries.
Head coach Markus Gisdol had already worked with Salihovic at Hoffenheim, and he believes the Bosnia-Herzegovina international will be a good addition to the squad.
Chances are that he will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s match vs Hannover, where Hamburg are 13/5 to claim maximum points.
