Gaining a string of plaudits from across the National League, Chesterfield have also impressed with their free-scoring displays in the final third. Now bagging at least a pair of strikes in their last seven straight appearances, Cook’s side will be looking to cash in on a struggling Maidstone on Saturday afternoon. While the fifth-tier returners might have found a much-needed boost last month, the Kent-based side have come crashing back down to earth. Only continuing to break a string of records since arriving at Premier League giants Manchester City this summer, Erling Haaland has already racked up 14 goals in his first 14 appearances across all formats. Likewise, finding the net in each of his last seven outings on the spin, the ex-Borussia Dortmund striker will spearhead Ståle Solbakken’s charge here.
