September 28th: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 5/1

With both Manchester City and Arsenal stealing centre stage this weekend, we are treated to a stacked Saturday of Premier League action.

With seven top-flight showdowns from up and down the country, we have plenty of intriguing Premier League battles on the cards.

For those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have taken a look at some of the most eye-catching betting markets.

Saturday, September 28th

BST 15:00 Arsenal vs Leicester

While Arsenal might have suffered last-gasp heartbreak away at Manchester City last weekend as they had to settle for a pulsating 2-2 stalemate at the Etihad, the Gunners would have taken an abundance of positives away from a gutsy performance. Claiming an immediate response earlier in the week and extending on their EFL Cup campaign thanks to a routine 5-1 romp at home against League One outfit Bolton, Mikel Arteta’s squad will certainly be confident of laying down another marker here. Yet to taste a single defeat across any competition since getting the new season underway, Saturday’s hosts are once again pencilled in as Man City’s main title foes this year. Marking their return from September’s international break with a history-making 1-0 victory away at arch-rivals Tottenham, Arsenal have also gained a fearsome reputation for their extended success in north London. In fact, the Gunners have suffered just a single Premier League defeat at the Emirates throughout this calendar year.

Although Leicester might have stormed their way to an immediate Premier League return for this season, the Foxes appear to have a real battle on their hands this time around. While Steve Cooper’s men might have eventually snatched a 1-1 stalemate at home against fellow strugglers Everton, the former Nottingham Forest boss has not seen his squad claim a single victory from any of their first five top-flight appearances. With some sections of the King Power support making their feelings clear since returning from September’s fortnight interval, Leicester couldn’t have asked for a tougher challenge on Saturday afternoon. Pencilled in as a leading relegation contender this season, the Foxes should also be concerned by a nightmare record against Arsenal. In fact, it should be highlighted, Cooper’s squad have lost each of their previous five showdowns against the title contenders by an aggregate score of 12-3.

Arsenal vs Leicester Betting Tip: Arsenal to score in both halves @ 19/20

15:00 Brentford vs West Ham

Left disappointed last weekend as they eventually slumped to an action-packed 3-1 loss away at Tottenham, Brentford will certainly be seeking an immediate response here. With Thomas Frank’s side dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine top-half charge this season, Saturday’s hosts know that consistency is key this season. Nevertheless, despite suffering back-to-back Premier League defeats since returning from September’s international break, the Bees will certainly be excited to make a return to home soil this weekend. Last seen in west London extending on their EFL Cup adventure thanks to a 3-1 win against League One outfit Leyton Orient, Brentford have continued to shine in front of their own supporters. In fact, winning all of their first three home fixtures across all competitions by an aggregate score of 8-3, Frank’s men should be smelling a real opportunity on Saturday afternoon.

While West Ham might have only appointed the new boss Julen Lopetegui over the summer, the former Wolves manager already finds a tremendous amount of pressure on his shoulders. Crashing out of the EFL Cup earlier in the week as they fell to a 5-1 drumming at the hands of Liverpool, Saturday’s guests find themselves at the heart of what has become a major struggle. Putting in a woeful performance last weekend as they fell to an infamous 3-0 defeat at home against London rivals Chelsea, the Hammers have continued to gain an unwanted reputation for their glaring defensive issues. Opening the new campaign with a 2-1 loss against Aston Villa on August 17th, West Ham should also be worried by a nightmare record in west London. Including a 3-2 loss when they travelled to Brentford last season, they have lost all of their three historic top-flight trips to the Bees.

Brentford vs West Ham Betting Tip: Brentford win @ 6/5

17:30 Wolves vs Liverpool

Getting a new era underway over the summer following the appointment of Arne Slot, the former Feyenoord boss has certainly made an immediate impact since arriving at Anfield. Getting their Champions League return underway last week with a thumping 3-1 victory away at Italian heavyweights AC Milan, Liverpool find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Extending on their EFL Cup campaign on Wednesday night as they stormed their way to a 5-1 romp against West Ham, the Reds have continued to receive a string of plaudits. Last seen in Premier League action collecting a routine 3-0 win at home against Bournemouth, Slot’s high-flying squad have won six of their first seven appearances across all competitions. Likewise, gaining a real reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third, Liverpool have already notched 10 top-flight strikes since opening up the new campaign.

Suffering a real collapse away at local rivals Aston Villa last weekend as they eventually fell to a 3-1 loss, Wolves are in the midst of a Premier League nightmare. Watching their EFL Cup adventure come to an end last week as they suffered an action-packed 3-2 defeat at the hands of Brighton, Gary O’Neil’s men have continued to show some glaring issues. Marking their return from September’s international break with a 2-1 loss at home against Newcastle, the former Bournemouth boss has seen his squad register just a single point from any of their first five Premier League appearances. Signing off August with a 6-2 drumming against Chelsea, Saturday’s hosts open this weekend’s fixtures sat rock-bottom of the table and appearing destined for a relegation scrap this season. Already conceding 14 Premier League strikes, Wolves have another major challenge on their hands here.
