Sergi Roberto has rejected Barcelona’s latest offer of a new contact, according to Fichajes. The former La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners have made an offer to the 30-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a full-back, which he has turned down.
The Spain international has been on the books of Barcelona since 2006 and and has played over 200 La Liga matches. Sergi Roberto has won the La Liga title six times, the Copa del Rey on six occasions, and the IEFA Champions League twice with the Blaugrana so far in his career.
Sergi Roberto is out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season. The 30-year-old has made five starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for the Blaugrana so far this season, scoring two goals in the process. The Spaniard has also given two assists in three UEFA Champions League matches for Xavi’s side so far this campaign .
