Manchester City star striker Sergio Aguero could make a sensational move to Barcelona after the World Cup, his father told Radio Continental.
“It’s possible. Many players will change clubs this summer.”, Aguero’s father Leonel De Castillo replied when asked if he could see his son playing together with Argentina teammate Leo Messi.
The Argentina international is currently nursing his knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for up to a month. Aguero is widely expected to make it into the Argentina’s World Cup squad, together with Leo Messi who could play a vital role in convincing Aguero to move to Camp Nou.
Aguero was already linked with a move away from the Etihad last summer with Pep Guardiola appearing to favour Gabriel Jesus as his first choice in attack.
The PFA Team of the Year member has been one of the most consistent strikers in the Premier League for years now but his future has been in constant limbo ever since Pep Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrini in the summer of 2016.
Aguero scored 21 goals in 22 Premier League appearances this season.
