Weekend behind us turned out to be quite torrid for strikers across the European continent.
Arguably the worst of them all, though, happened in Greece where AEK Athens striker Sergio Araujo ruined a goal-bound effort from his teammate when he blasted the open-goal striker against the crossbar and out to safety from a yard or two out.
His disastrous miss did not cost his team three points, luckily, as AEK managed to scrape a 1-0 win in the end.
