Former Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales is being linked with a January move to Portuguese Primeira Liga, according to Record.
The 26-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and it seems that he will not be staying at Anoeta.
Record claims that Sporting CP were offered a chance to sign Canales and they are currently considering the proposal.
Sergio Canales never quite managed to realise his potential, enjoying disappointing spells with Real Madrid and Valencia before moving to Real Sociedad.
Having started mere 11 La Liga matches in the last 18 months, the attacking midfielder is set to leave Anoeta, with Real Betis also interested in his services.
