Manchester United have decided to send Sergio Reguilon back to his parent club Tottenham Hotspur, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has reported on X that United have activated the break clause in the contract and have informed Reguilon that they will no longer have him in their squad.
Reguilon joined United on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the summer of 2023. The former Real Madrid left-back has failed to make a huge impact at Old Trafford and has also had injury issues. The 27-year-old has made four starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils this season.
