Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero wants to leave the club in the January transfer window, according to ESPN. It has been reported that the Argentina international is keen on parting company with the Red Devils after being omitted from the Premier League and Champions League squads.
The report has claimed that there is interest in Romero from clubs in his native Argentina and abroad. United want between £8 million and £10 million for the 33-year-old, who is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season, but the Premier League giants do have an option to extend his deal for another 12 months.
Romero has been on the books of United since 2015, but the Argentine has failed to dislodged David de Gea from the starting lineup. A move away from Old Trafford in the January transfer window would make sense for him.
