Juventus, Napoli and Fiorentina have shown interest in Catania striker Maxi Lopez, who is widely tipped to leave Massimino in January.
The former Barcelona striker managed to kick-start his career in Sicily, with his goals helping Catania to their best ever Serie A finish, but he is now thought to be looking for a new challenge.
Juventus, Napoli and Fiorentina are following the player closely and they could make a move in January even though Catania president Pietro Lo Monaco denied Maxi Lopez would be leaving before June.
“Maxi Lopez is not transferable, even if they come in with a splendid offer. We’ll see in June,” said Lo Monaco.
The Argentine has scored a single goal this season and he is becoming unsettled at Catania, as witnessed by his clash with veteran forward Giuseppe Mascara, so everything suggests he will be leaving the club in January.
