(GSM) – AC Milan dropped to third place in the Italian Serie A after being held to a 1-1 draw by Lazio on Sunday.
With Roma beating leaders Internazionale to move into second place a day earlier, pressure was on Milan to reconquer their spot and reduce the gap with arch rivals Inter.
Things initially went well for the Rossoneri, who went ahead on 18 minutes as Marco Boriello converted a penalty.
But their lead would only last 14 minutes as Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner levelled in the 32nd.
Milan are now three points behind Inter, with Roma in between at one point from the leaders. There are seven rounds of games left to go in the Serie A.
