Juventus visit Cesena on Wednesday in a round of Serie A matches rescheduled following the tragic death of Livorno player Piermario Morosini.

Morosini suffered a cardiac arrest during a Serie B game against Pescaro on April 14, and passed away aged 25.

The midfielder’s untimely death prompted the Lega Calcio to suspend all of that weekend’s professional fixtures until a later date, with the postponed matches to be played this week.

League leaders Juventus hold a three-point lead over reigning champions Milan, and will look to consolidate or improve their position when they visit bottom side Cesena.

The last outing for Antonio Conte’s front-runners ended in a comfortable 4-0 win at home to European hopefuls Roma.

Struggling Cesena, without a victory in 15 matches, are on an unusual run of five successive draws, a sequence which has done little to ease the looming threat of demotion to the second tier.

Also in action on Wednesday are Milan, who were held 1-1 at home to Bologna last Saturday.

Massimiliano Allegri’s title holders host relegation-threatened Genoa, who are fresh from an embarrassing 4-1 loss to a visiting Siena side.

The match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris was suspended for 40 minutes while Genoa ‘ultras’ staged a protest against their team’s poor form.

In the pick of Tuesday’s matches, Champions League-chasing Udinese, fourth in the table and three points behind third-placed Lazio, welcome Inter Milan to the Stadio Friuli.

Inter, who are seventh, are still unbeaten in four matches under interim coach Andrea Stramaccioni.

Roma will look to recover from their heavy defeat to Juve with a home match against out-of-form Fiorentina.

Another team chasing European qualification, fifth-placed Napoli, go away to third-bottom Lecce.

The team in the box seat for the final Champions League berth, third-placed Lazio, are in need of all three points away to second-bottom Novara.

Cagliari, three points above the drop zone, are at home to overachievers Catania.

In two mid-table battles, Atalanta play host to Chievo, and Bologna travel to face Siena.

Finally, Parma journey south to Sicily, where take on Palermo.
