Bologna playmaker Gaston Ramirez will be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season, the club president has revealed.
The Uruguayan midfielder has developed into one of the most promising players in Italian Serie A and he is repeatedly linked with a big club move.
The 21-year-old is followed by a number of high-profile sides including Liverpool and Juventus, and Bologna president has now dropped a big hint that the player will be sold in the summer.
“The future of Ramirez? Depends more on him than on us,” Albano Guaraldi was quoted as saying in Tuttosport.
The Bologna owner confirms that the club have received formal offers for the player in January.
“In January, we had the proposals but we have not even considered them, and neither he nor his representative have said anything.
”We understand the desires and expectations, and even on equal terms, it is difficult to say no to big clubs that are the dream of every player.”
Ramirez joined Bologna in a €5.5 million deal in August 2010 from Penarol and he has made an instant impact in Serie A.
After impressing in his first season in Italy, the youngster proved his worth this term as well, scoring 5 goals and creating 4 assists in 16 Serie A starts.
