Udinese defender Mehdi Benatia has revealed that he is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of high-profile sides following his impressive showings at the start to the season, but it looks as though January exit is out of the question.
“No! That’s sure. My agents told me that I would be allowed to leave next summer,” Benatia told L’Equipe when asked whether he could leave the club in January.
“By the end of the season, I have too many nice things to play for with my club. I have no reason to leave this winter, and I don’t want to.”
The Algerian defender admits he is tempted by the prospect of joining Paris Saint-Germain.
“This is an ambitious club, which has huge resources and it is an attractive project.
”I have a few friends (there) – Jeremy Menez, Mohammed Sissoko – with whom I speak regularly on the phone.”
