It was an exciting week in the Serie A, one riddled with upsets and unlikely outcomes, a rare sight compared to previous weeks. Here’s the complete rundown of all you missed.

Udinese vs Milan

The visitors continued to disappoint this week, and they are falling further behind in the race for Europe. A goal from Giacomo Bonaventura in the eighth minute put the Rossoneri ahead, but their lackluster defense failed them once again, and two goals from Thereau and De Paul ensured Udinese would walk away with the full three points.

Lazio vs Chievo

Lazio also fell to a lower team. After having dominated the entire game, producing twenty-eight shots to Chievo’s seven, a ninetieth minute goal from Roberto Inglese left the hosts shocked and the fans in despair.

Sampdoria vs Roma

Roma was the third team to fall from the top of the table, losing to Sampdoria in a thriller. Bruno Peres got the visitors off to a fast start, but Praet was there to equalize. A goal from Dzeko would put Roma up once more, but two goals in two minutes from Schick and Muriel respectively clinched the win for Sampdoria.

Napoli vs Palermo

Another dominating performance without results. The Partenopei absolutely dominated Palermo, having seventy-five percent possession and sixteen more shots than their opponent, but a lack of clinical finishing meant they would only come out with a draw. Nestorovski scored with a header on the first shot of the game, and Dries Mertens provided the equalizer.

Sassuolo vs Juventus

Juventus did not falter, extending their lead over all the teams that did. Two first half goals from Higuain and Khedira ensured they would emerge from the Città del Tricolore victorious.

Inter vs Pescara

Inter continued on their winning ways under Pioli thanks to goals from D’Ambrosio, Joao Mario, and Eder.

Fiorentina vs Genoa

The match ended in a stalemate after ninety minutes of exhilarating play. A goal from Ilicic meant Fiorentina would be up going into the second half. Four goals in twelve minutes from Chiesa, Kalinic, Simeone, and Hiljemark raised the tally to five, and Simeone notched his brace and the equalizer with a penalty in the eighty-sixth minute.

Torino vs Atalanta

Torino and Atalanta also finished in a standstill, goals coming from Iago Falque and Andrea Petagna.

Crotone vs Empoli

Stoian opened up the scoring for the hosts, but Mchedlidze equalized soon after. Diego Falcinelli secured the win with a hat-trick in the second half, two goals coming in injury time.

Cagliari vs Bologna

Bologna took the lead off a Destro strike, but a lack of discipline caused problems for the hosts. Two red cards in three minutes meant they were down to nine men for the dying minutes of the game. Boriello punished them with a goal in the ninety-second minute.
