Roma maintained their unlikely bid to finish in the Champions League qualification places with a 1-0 win over Chievo on Saturday.
Simone Perrotta scored what proved to be the winner just four minutes into the Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico.
Perrotta collected a cutback from midfield colleague Daniele De Rossi to strike his third goal of the season with a right-foot shot from inside the area.
Mirko Vucinic, Matteo Brighi and Perotta all missed chances to extend the lead in the second half.
But Roma saw out the win to move within five points of fourth-placed Lazio.
