Serie A wrap: Wins for top two

There was no change at the top of Serie A on Saturday, with AC Milan and Napoli both recording comfortable wins.

League leaders Milan were far too good for relegation-troubled Parma, triumphing 4-0 at the San Siro in an ideal tune up for Tuesday’s Champions league meeting with English Premier League club Tottenham.

Clarence Seedorf put the hosts ahead after eight minutes, and Antonio Cassano doubled his side’s advantage 10 minutes later before a second-half brace from Brazilian Robinho completed the rout.

But Napoli made sure Milan’s lead at the top of Serie A stayed at three points when they claimed a 2-0 win at the Olympic Stadium over Claudio Ranieri’s Roma.

Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani moved to 20 goals for the season with a brace for the visitors in a spiteful affair that saw nine players booked by referee Mauro Bergonzi.
