Sunderland star Stephane Sessegnon has poured cold water on rumours linking him with a summer exit from the Stadium of Light.
The 29-year-old played a key role in the season finale last term, scoring some crucial goals to help his side keep their Premier League status.
Following yet another impressive campaign in the Premiership, Sessegnon has been linked with a number of top European sides, but there have been no concrete offers just yet.
The experienced midfielder says he is not concerned by the transfer talk and reiterates that he is perfectly happy at Sunderland.
“The speculation is okay, I have no problem with that. But I’m happy at Sunderland,“ Sessegnon told Sunderland Echo.
We’ve worked well in pre-season and hopefully we can continue like this. I’m enjoying it at Sunderland and my mind is for Sunderland now.”
Stephane Sessegnon joined Sunderland in a €7 million deal from Paris Saint-Germain two years back , and has since scored 14 goals in 71 Premier League matches.
He has revelled playing in a hole behind the lone striker at the Stadium of Light and is currently regarded as one of top Premiership midfielders.
