Several clubs want free agent Marchisio

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a handful of clubs are seriously interested in signing Claudio Marchisio. The 32-year-old spent a phenomenal 25 years on the books with The Old Lady from the youth system all the way up to the senior team, making over 300 professional appearances for them in the process. Earlier this month, however, he left the club, and now he’s setting his sights on something new.

Many clubs are obviously lining up for the chance to try and acquire the services of Marchisio, but only a few are considered to be the prime candidates. Real Betis, Sevilla and Monaco are all being viewed as the frontrunners with Claudio not being interested in a Serie A return, mainly because he doesn’t want to come up against Juventus. Still, that could always wind up being a possibility in Europe depending on which club he winds up choosing to sign for.
