Barcelona maintained their strong start to the new La Liga season with a 3-0 win over Sevilla away from home at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Saturday.

Raphinha put Barcelona in the lead in the 21st minute with his first goal for the Catalan giants.

The Brazil international winger, who joined Barcelona from Premier League club Leeds United in the summer transfer window, headed home after Robert Lewandowski’s dinked effort was cleared off the line.

The Poland international striker himself made it 2-0 on 36 minutes.

Lewandowski, who moved to Barcelona this summer from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, finished off a brilliant pass from Jules Kounde when he took the ball on his chest and volleyed it home.

Former Manchester City defender Erik Garcia headed home Kounde’s nod-back on 50 minutes.

The result means that Xavi’s side are now second in the La Liga table with 10 points from four matches, just two points behind leaders and defending champions Real Madrid.

Barcelona are next in La Liga action next Saturday when they take on Cadiz away from home.

The Blaugrana can be backed at 1/8 on Betfair to win the match.

These are the three things we learned from Saturday’s La Liga match between Sevilla and Barcelona.

This is what we learned from the match:

Robert Lewandowski could win Pichichi Trophy

Robert Lewandowski has taken to La Liga like a duck to water and is banging in the goals for fun for Barcelona at the moment. The 34-year-old Poland international striker has scored five goals in four La Liga appearances so far this season. The striker is one of the best goalscorer sof all time, and there is a very good chance that he could end up winning the Pichichi Trophy this season.

Barcelona could win La Liga

Barcelona were really poor last season, and bitter rivals Real Madrid have won the La Liga title with ease. However, things are looking very different and better for the Blaugrana. The new signings for Barcelona are making a huge difference already, and we should not be surprised if they do end up winning the title this campaign.

Sevilla are in trouble

Sevilla have made a really poor start to the season and seem devoid of ideas. Yes, losing to Barcelona even at home is not an embarrassment, but they simply failed to take the flight to the Catalan giants and have picked up just one point from four game. They need to really improve their performances and results.
