With the chance to reclaim their spot in the top-four, Sevilla will host a struggling Leganes side on Friday night.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of a shock 1-0 loss away at Girona last weekend, there is no doubt that Joaquín Caparrós will be calling for an immediate responce from his side on Friday. Despite now losing two of their last three La Liga outings, there is no doubt that Los Hispalenses will be glad to make a return to home soil this week. With the chance to climb back into the Champions League spots, a huge part of Sevilla’s European push has been their continued performances at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Led by leading goalscorer Wissam Ben Yedder who has bagged 25 goals across all competitions, Sevilla have won their last three matches on home soil, scoring 10 goals and conceding just two in return.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of another lackluster display in their 0-0 draw at home to relegation contenders Celta Vigo last time out, Leganes have freefallen out of the top half of the table. Now failing to win any of their last five La Liga outings, a run that stems back to the 4th of April, a huge part of their issues at the back end of the campaign has been their form away from the Estadio Municipal de Butarque. Former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has seen his side record just two away victories in 2019 and they also suffered a 2-1 loss against Villareal in their last matchup on the road.
