Sevilla welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final clash tonight, and are big favourites to reach the final for a third consecutive season.
The Spanish La Liga side have won the competition for each of the last two campaigns, and are 90 minutes away from having a chance to retain their trophy against either Liverpool or Villarreal in the final. They aren’t in the most convincing form, however, but have two away goals from the draw in the first leg that sees them in the driving seat this evening.
As for Shakhtar Donetsk, the visitors have been outstanding in the Europa League. They boast five wins and two draws from their seven games played so far, but will have a tough task getting a result in Sevilla’s backyard given how few sides come out on top in Spain.
In the league, Sevilla have lost only one at home since September, and in Europe, they have lost only once at home since November. Before their Champions League exit, they had still beaten Borussia Monchengladbach and Juventus at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 4/6 for the holders to win tonight to reach the final again as a result.
