French media outlet L’Equipe is reporting that Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is set to return to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The Frenchman began pre-season training with the Citizens after returning from a successful loan spell at Sevilla, but he will now be moving back to Andalucia.
L’Equipe claims that the two clubs have reached an agreement over the transfer fee, with only minor details of the deal left to be sorted.
Even though Pep Guardiola was happy with Nasri’s performances in pre-season, he ultimately decided to allow the Frenchman to leave for greener pastures.
The 30-year-old failed to prove his worth at Etihad Stadium despite showing glimpses of quality, but he seems to have managed to get his career back on track in Spanish La Liga.
