Espanyol are having a really hard time this season. They may have enjoyed a run in the UEFA Europa League this year, but next season it looks like they will be having a run in Segunda Division. The Barcelona based club lost to their city rivals this week 1-0 and that meant they are closer to relegation.
But that also means they are closer to losing their striker Raul De Tomas this summer. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 25-year-old, who joined the club just this past January from Benfica and had been in great form, is already wanted by two La Liga sides – Sevilla and Valencia. Espanyol may have paid a lot to get him, but now he will possibly be on a move.
De Tomas has a clause in his contract that will let him leave Espanyol if they get relegated to Segunda. It remains unknown how much Espanyol could earn if that happens.
