According to Sport.es, Spanish side Sevilla are still clinging to Clèment Lenglet and are willing do to whatever is necessary to try and keep him at the club. The 23-year-old defender has only been there for 17 months, and initially signed a deal that would keep him at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán until 2021 – but the overwhelming interest from Barcelona has seemingly been too much, and now, he looks set to switch over to Sevilla’s La Liga rivals.
However, it seems as if Sevilla are still attempting to keep him on the books despite already looking elsewhere for his potential replacement. The issue is expected to be resolved by June 30th, with an offer of €35 million supposedly being on the table. Lenglet has appeared more than 50 times for Sevilla throughout the course of his tenure with the club, with one of the main highlights being his performance against Manchester United in their UEFA Champions League first leg tie.
