Spanish newspaper Marca understands that Sevilla are on the verge of reaching an agreement for Levante midfielder Vicente Iborra.
Los Colchoneros have been in the market for a holding midfielder ever since Gary Medel made a switch to Cardiff City.
And while they have signed talented Sebastian Cristoforo from Penarol, they are also keen on bringing a player who can slot straight into the starting line-up.
According to Marca, Sevilla have made Levante’s Vicente Iborra their number one target and already submitted a €5 million bid for the player’s services.
Their La Liga rivals are, however, holding out for €6 million, but it is believed the two sides will soon reach an agreement.
Sevilla could decide to include one of their fringe players in the deal, namely Hedwiges Maduro and Babacar Diawara.
Vicente Iborra, 25, is likely to be interested in a switch to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, having spent his entire career at Levante.
