Sevilla are reportedly concerned about the situation with Jules Kounde at the moment. The defender, who has two years left on his contract and has declared a while back that he’s ready to move on, appeared all set to join Chelsea for a hefty fee as the London Blues work on restructuring their defence following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
However, according to Marca, the negotiations between the two clubs haven’t progressed for some time now and there have been no concrete offers from elsewhere either, and it seems the La Liga side might end up stuck with a player who doesn’t want to be there and whose market value will surely plummet next year. Further more, Chelsea are believed to have moved on from Kounde as their first-choice target and are now working on Mathijs de Ligt of Juventus, Nathan Ake of Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli.
