Sevilla are keen on bringing in another attacking midfielder of high quality, and according to Sevilla-based publication El Desmarque they are interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa.
This is the 29-year-old’s second spell with Dortmund, having left the club in 2012 after two years to join Manchester United. With the Red Devils he won the Premier League in 2012/13 and the 2013 FA Community Shield, making a total of 57 appearances and scoring six goals for them over two seasons in all competitions.
He returned to Dortmund in 2014, but now he’s reportedly angling for another move away from the club, and Sevilla are keeping tabs on the situation as they feel he would suit their needs well.
Speaking about why he left the Japanese out of his squad for the DFB-Pokal clash with Greuther Fürth, Dortmund manager Lucien Favre pointed out that there are a lot of midfielders in his squad and that the season will be long, with many games to be played.
