Sevilla in ambitious bid for Stevan Jovetic

Estadio Deportivo understands that Sevilla are weighing up a fresh assault on Montenegrin forward Stevan Jovetic.

Los Rojiblancos attempted to sign the striker on permanent basis in the summer after a successful loan spell, but he eventually joined Monaco.

But, with Sevilla failing to properly reinforce their front line and the team struggling in the past few weeks, the club seem ready to reignite their interest in Jovetic.

Persuading Monaco to sell will prove a difficult task though as the 27-year-old has enjoyed a decent start to his career at Stade Louis II.

Jovetic made four appearances for the club in Ligue 1, scoring 1 goal, while missing the last few games through injury he had picked up on international duty.
