Sevilla in for Ramirez

Sevilla are ready to move for Southampton forward Gaston Ramirez, according to the Mail Online.

The twenty-five year old is currently on loan at Championship promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough having failed to hold down a first team place under Ronald Koeman and he appears to have played his last game for the south coast club with his contract set to expire in the summer.

In total, he has racked up fifty-five appearances in all competitions for the Saints, scoring just eight goals since signing from Bologna in the summer of 2012.

He also had a loan spell at Hull City last season, where he got just one goal in twenty-two outings.

Sides in his native South America are also monitoring his situation though Sevilla, who currently sit fifth in La Liga and have a chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, are keen to win the race to secure his services.
