Spanish media outlet El Desmarque has learned that Europa League holders Sevilla are hot on the trail of Benfica full-back Alex Grimaldo.
Los Rojiblancos will allow injury-plagued Benoit Tremoulinas to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season and are now in the market for a new left-back.
According to El Desmarque, Benfica starlet Alex Grimaldo has emerged as their top target, with Sevilla reportedly readying a €15 million proposal for his services.
The La Liga side will face serious competition for the La Masia graduate as he is also on the radar of Napoli, Juventus and Manchester City, among other clubs.
After leaving Barcelona to join Benfica for a nominal fee in January 2016, Grimaldo experienced certain injury problems, but still managed to impress the visiting scouts as he scored 2 goals in 15 Primeira Liga appearances for the club.
