Europa League holders Sevilla are hot on the trail of Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta, according to L’Equipe.
Los Rojiblancos expect star player Jose Antonio Reyes to leave when his contract expires in June, and they apparently see the French footballer as a good long-term replacement.
Sevilla officials have been impressed with Kakuta’s performances in La Liga this season and they are determined to bring him to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
L’Equipe has suggested that los Rojiblancos are currently in talks with Chelsea as they hope to reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
Kakuta has enjoyed the most successful season in his career so far, scoring 5 goals and setting up another 7 in 35 league outings while on loan at Rayo Vallecano.
His suitors Sevilla face Dnipro in the Europa League final at the Stadio Narodowy in Warsaw tomorrow evening, and they are priced at 3/5 to win the match in regular time.
