Italian daily newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Sevilla are considering a summer move on Pescara striker Jonathas Cristian de Jesus.
The 25-year-old is on loan until the end of the season at Elche and it was some impressive performances in Spain’s top flight that caught the eye of los Rojiblancos.
Jonathas has bagged no less than 9 goals in 21 league outings for the La Liga strugglers and it appears he has done enough to earn a big club move.
With French forward Kevin Gameiro heavily linked with a summer exit, Sevilla plan to recruit Jonathas to provide competition for Carlos Bacca in attack.
The Brazilian didn’t need a lot of time to prove his worth after leaving native Brazil, and he left a big mark on Italian Serie B, scoring 31 goals in 70 outings.
He netted three times in the Serie A, playing for Pescara and Torino, before enjoying a great start to the loan stint with Elche.
