Europa League holders Sevilla have taken a keen interest in Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz, Estadio Deportivo has learned.
Los Rojiblancos transfer guru Monchi has been impressed by the 23-year-old and he attempted to bring him to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the summer.
But, while Real Madrid refused to let him go few months ago, they are now ready to farm him out on loan in the January transfer window.
As a result, Sevilla are prepared to make an offer for the Dominican striker, who has shown a great deal of potential playing for los Blancos youth sides.
Diaz was handed his La Liga debut earlier this season, after scoring impressive 27 goals in 33 Segunda B fixtures last term.
Sevilla already have Luciano Vietto and Wissam Ben Yedder vying for positions up front, but they could definitely use another striker given their Champions League ambitions.
