Sevilla have set their sights on Penarol midfielder Sebastian Cristoforo, Marca has revealed on Wednesday.
Los Rojiblancos are hoping to keep hold of both Gary Medel and Geoffrey Kondogbia, having cashed in on Alvaro Negredo and Cesar Navas, but they would prefer to have a plan B in place as well.
In case they receive an offer they cannot refuse for one of the two holding midfielders, Sevilla will make a move on Penarol starlet Sebastian Cristoforo.
The 19-year-old has shone at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey and he is seen as an excellent prospect for the future.
Despite his fragile age, the talented midfielder has already amassed 45 top flight appearances for Penarol, while featuring in no less than 14 Copa Libertadores fixtures.
The fact that he also holds an Italian passport makes him even more appealing to Sevilla officials, who could launch an assault on him in the coming weeks provided the price is right.
