The 24-year-old Argentina midfielder Walter Montoya is set for a return to his homeland just two seasons in Spain.
Former Rosario Central man joined La Liga side Sevilla for the 2016/17 season but failed to break into the first team after making no more than 4 league appearances in his maiden season for Los Rojiblancos.
His first-team status did not change this season as well with Montoya making a single La Liga outing thus far.
According to reports coming from Radio La Red, Boca Juniors are lining up a bid for Sevilla out-of-sorts midfielder during the January transfer window. The player’s representative Daniel Luzzi is said to be in constant contact with Argentine heavyweights who are expected to submit an offer this week.
Sevilla are keen to sell Montoya but would be willing to let him go on a loan with a €6 million buyout clause.
